Tibberton Show has been held every year continuously since 1945; although its origins are very much older, the first Show was held in 1897!
It takes place on the third Saturday in August, at Taynton and Tibberton Village Hall and Recreation Ground.
The focus of the Show is the Marquee, exhibiting entries into the Horticultural, Floral and Homecraft competitions. There is a large children's section, and also sections representing the Arts and Photography. The 28 cups and trophies are hotly contested, in a good-natured atmosphere of friendly rivalry.
The Show is a popular village event, which also features music and entertainment, sideshows and stalls and demonstrations where local people and visitors can enjoy the lovely countryside, traditional and more modern pursuits, with refreshments including afternoon tea, a barbecue, and a licensed bar.
